This is a tutorial for any of you who use DxTory to make audio easier. It means they will all have their own
separate audio channels when you import footage and can be manipulated easily.
You will want to download and setup this program:
VAC <<<<<<<<This is the link
This download is virus free, as it is the one I used.
Once that is downloaded, make sure you install the right one. 64 bit for a 64 bit OS (Which you SHOULD have, if you don't - you really need to).
Restarting your pc after setup is recommended.
You then want to open up ''vcctlpan.exe'' and set it up to look like this:
Another restart is then recommended.
To check this is working, go to your recording devices and you should see ''Line 1 and Line 2''
It'll look like this:
Then you'll want to load up
TWO instances of ''audiorepeater.exe''
You want to make them look like these:
Then click 'start' on both.
You will need to do this every time you load up your pc, so I recommend setting up a taskbar shortcut.
Then go to 'Sounds' and 'PlayBack Devices', Make sure that
'Line 1' is set to '
default device'
AND '
Default communications device'.
Then go to 'Mixer' and make sure you change
'Speakers' to 'Line 1' After you've done this, you can set things such as 'Skype' or 'Teamspeak' to be 'Line 2' so that they're a separate line.
Then your game audio will be, by default, line 1.
Then your microphone will be set as 'Microphone'.
And in DxTory your audio settings should be:
1 - Speakers
(MAKE SURE YOU DISABLE THIS AND DO NOT RECORD IT)2 - Microphone
3 - Line 1
4 - Line 2.
Etc.
Then the rest of it is just to set Audio quality in your editor, such as Vegas, to how you like it. (I suggest turning re sampling off)
If you need any help with this, feel free to contact me via Steam or Skype, or post a comment.
Thank you.
