Launching with Technic Platform

As you may or may not be aware, the original Technic Launcher has been replaced with the Technic Platform. You CANNOT use the Technic Launcher anymore.

Get the Platform here: http://technicpack.net/download

Now, when you load up the launcher, you'll see that the only available Modpack is Tekkit Lite. Don't fret, simply sign into your account, and launch Tekkit Lite. When Lite is all loaded up, close out of it. Load up the launcher again, and the rest of the Modpacks, including Tekkit Classic, will be there. I just figured I'd put this up here because it's taken Forl and I like, an hour to figure this crap out. Have a nice day.

For us it just says "Failed to update!"

That reminds me:
If your technic launcher encounters a problem (i.e. glitching out, failing to join servers, corrupted data, etc.), you would normally delete your folders associated with the launcher and reinstall it. If you have to do this, reinstalling WILL NOT WORK. When you choose "Tekkit Classic" to reinstall, it will say "Failed to update!". To fix this, you will need to get the Platform.

I only noticed this now, I got the platform to get the galacticraft modpack, but I do seem to run out of memory and that didn't happen on the last launcher so just as a heads up

When I go into the new launcher their is no mod packs not even tekkit light! What do I do?

That's not the launcher. That's you. Allocate more memory through the pre-game options.

Delete all your Technic folders in Roaming. Then load up the platform again. Then follow the instructions above.
